Profile

Called to the Bar by Middle Temple, London July 1968.  Practised in Liverpool chambers until 1973 when I moved to Hong Kong and worked in Legal Aid until 1985 when I transferred to the High Court as a Master and Deputy Registrar.  During the next 19 years, in addition to work as a Master I was seconded to Brunei as Chief Registrar Supreme Court for a year, was appointed Registrar, Court of Final Appeal for two years, and sat as a Deputy High Court Judge for more than 4 years gaining valuable experience in all areas of the Common Law, personal injury, property law, trusts, insurance, insolvency and banking.  Trained as a mediator in 2003 before retiring from Hong Kong in 2004 and practising as a mediator and adjudicator in Australia and Hong Kong.
