Profile

After practising law in the Royal Australian Navy for over 20 years I qualified as a mediator with the Canberra Conflict Resolution Service. I also undertook training with LEADR, Bond University and the University of South Australia. I was initially mentored by Sir Laurence Street and worked as a conciliator with the ACT Health Complaints Commission. I also practised mediation with Relationships Australia, the Canberra Mediation Service and the Merit Protection and Review Commission. In the late 90s I was appointed the Deputy Ombudsman and Anti-Discrimination Commissioner for the Northern Territory and in 2002 I became the principal mediator for Mutual Mediations in Brisbane. I have memberships with IAMA, AMA, LEADR (Advanced), the Queensland Law Society, CLE, Office of Mediation Advisor, InterMediate, Third Party Mediation, Relationships Australia, Legal Aid Qld and the ACT and Qld Collaborative Law Association. I have National accreditation in Australia and am a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. I am an accredited mediator with HKIAC and an associate member of the HK Law Society and Family Law Association (HK and Qld). I have conducted over 2500 mediations throughout Australia and coach, supervise and mentor new and experienced mediators and am an assessor for the National Accreditation Scheme, which I conduct for Bond University. I am also employed as a trainer for LEADR, University of Qld and Bond University. I have written numerous articles on ADR since 1996. I
